34 Main Street, Temple

This later 18th century cottage is a single storey building with three bays. It is constructed from tooled course sandstone rubble, featuring polished long and short dressings. The northeast elevation, which faces the entrance, is symmetrical, with a central doorway that has a boarded timber door and a window on each side. The northwest and southeast elevations are obscured by adjoining cottages, while the southwest elevation was not visible in 1998. The cottage has 12 pane timber sash and case windows and a red pantiled roof with a terracotta ridge. The gablehead stacks are coursed and coped, topped with circular cans, and there are cast iron rainwater goods. The interior was not seen in 1998.
