Description

Mid 19th century, with later additions and alterations. Single storey, 4-bay T-plan picturesque gabled lodge. Tooled sandstone ashlar, with polished ashlar margins. Some chamfered arrises. Bargeboards and exposed rafter ends to gables, decorative kingposts with pendants in 2 gables to right at principal elevation.

SE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: 4-bay, comprising irregular double gable to right of centre, roll-moulded doorpiece with recessed vertically-boarded timber door and decorative iron hinges to right, surmounted by blank square wall tablet, window centred in return to right; 4-light canted window in gable to left, with stepped stone roof; enlarged windows to left, and centred in gable to outer left.

NE ELEVATION: blank gable, with blank square wall tablet centred in gablehead.

NW (REAR) ELEVATION: Single storey wing projecting from centre.

SW ELEVATION: Modern conservatory centred in gable to left.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1999.
