Description
The Columba Hotel, located on Ness Walk in Inverness, was designed by Alexander Ross in 1881 and showcases a free Baronial style. The building has three storeys and an attic, featuring a three-bay front with a slightly recessed center that is topped with a gablet. The outer bays are finished with broad gables. The ground floor has been altered, while the first floor boasts a continuous corbelled balcony. The first-floor windows are canted bays, adorned with foliated capitals at the mullion and pilasters, and are topped with wrought-iron balustrades. An extension was added in 1938 in a neo-Baronial style, which consists of four storeys.
