Description
This outbuilding, likely dating from the first quarter of the 19th century, was probably constructed as stables or a coach house for the Struan Inn. It is a rectangular, gabled building constructed of whitewashed rubble with a slate roof and a single end stack. A forestair is located at the left-hand gable, and a lean-to outshot is attached to the opposite gable, with the main roof extending over it. The front elevation features square-headed openings, most of which appear original. A blocked flat-arched coach house bay is on the left side; adjacent to this is a door flanked by windows, and above, a pair of small loft openings are set close below the eaves, their positioning not aligned with the front elevation’s bay divisions. A single window and door are to the right, beyond a stone pipe. Three original skylights are present.
