Description
The Struan Inn is a 19th-century building, believed to have been originally constructed as an inn. It is situated near the shore and fronts a road leading to a nearby pier. The inn is not a single build, comprising a single-storey cottage-like structure with attic dormers. The front elevation has two and three-bay sections; the two-bay section, featuring a door and window, appears to be an addition, as does the central gable entrance on the three-bay section. The building is rendered, with evidence beneath showing a former eaves level where wallheads were heightened. Most windows are four-pane sashes. The building has skews and end chimney stacks. The roof over the two-bay section is outshot and covered with diamond-shaped tiles (possibly asbestos), while the remainder of the roof is slate-covered.
