Description
This building, dating from the 1780s to the 1790s, is a two-storey and attic house originally with a five-bay facade. It is harled (roughcast) with contrasting painted tooled ashlar margins defining the window and door surrounds. The central entrance is hidden behind a glazed porch. The ground floor windows are tall, and the roof features three wallhead piended dormers and small gable attic windows. The windows are largely fitted with 12-pane glazing, with 4-pane glazing in the dormers. The house has coped end stacks and a slate roof. Modern wings have been added to the east and west gables, but these are not included in the listing. The building was formerly part of the estate of Fraser of Culduthel, and it is also part of Culduthel Hospital.
