Description
The storehouse at Cullochy Lock on the Caledonian Canal was built between 1815 and 1820. It is a single-storey, three-bay structure located on the east bank of the canal, overlooking the lock. The building is constructed of whitewashed rubble and features a two-leaf timber door on the north gable, which is set in a basket-arched opening, with a small attic window above. The windows predominantly have 16-pane glazing in timber sash and case frames. The roof is pitched and covered with slate, and there is an end stack on the south gable.
The interior, as observed in 2013, includes two rooms: a store and an office for the lock keeper, which are separated by a timber partition. The store has setts on the floor.
