Description

Craigvar is a house dating from the mid to later 19th century. It is two storeys and has an attic, with three bays. The front is built of coursed rubble, while the sides are of random rubble. Red sandstone is used for the detailing, including the margins, long-short angles, and pinnings. Two canted bay windows are positioned on either side of a shallow, gabled porch. Three piended dormers project from the roof. All sash windows have thick wooden mullions and multi-pane glazing. The house has corniced end stacks and a piended slate roof.
