Description

Invermoriston Old Bridge is a mid-18th century, two-span rubble bridge featuring tooled rubble dressings. It has two unequal segmental dressed rubble arch rings that spring from natural rock abutments on both the flanking sides and the center. There is also a small flood arch at the west bank, and the east approach is supported by a three-span clapper bridge. The bridge has a roughly tooled parapet, with some sections having been rebuilt. The approximate spans are 60 feet for the west arch and 45 feet for the east arch.
