Description
The gazebo at Invermoriston House is an early 19th century, single-storey structure with nine sides, located on a rocky ledge above the River Moriston. It is constructed of rubble with some harl pointing, and the length of the walls is slightly uneven.
The gazebo features three pointed-headed, unglazed windows with hood moulds on the west and south sides, and an entrance on the east side that does not have a provision for a door. It has a shallow, slated piended roof topped with a simple apex finial.
Inside, there is a roughly shaped circular bench at the center, which supports a wooden column that rises to the roof apex. The windows have splayed reveals and deep cills, and there are three similar blind recesses along with a fireplace that does not have a flue. The interior walls are simply finished with harl pointed rubble.
