Description

47 Breadalbane Terrace is a Victorian house built around 1880. It is two stories high, has a rectangular plan, and features a gabled roof. The house has high gabled dormer heads above the first-floor windows that break the eaves. The exterior is finished with coursed Caithness stone slabs, while the first floor has a yellow sandstone ashlar cill course, eaves course, and long and short quoins. The openings have stugged ashlar margins and chamfered cills.

On the principal (north) elevation, there is a panelled door in the center, topped with a letterbox fanlight and a trefoil pediment, and a square-stopped hoodmould above. To the left, there is a bipartite window with a stone mullion, and to the right, a single window. There is a second door located in the outer right bay. The upper storey features gabled windows that break the eaves, with ashlar roundels at the gable heads. The eaves course is corbelled and has a cavetto moulding.

The rear elevation and interior were not seen in 2001. The house has plate glass sash and case windows, a roof covered with grey slates and a pantiled ridge, cast-iron rainwater goods, and decorative hoppers.
