Description
This cruck-framed cottage, built around 1846, is currently unoccupied. It is a single-storey, three-bay structure. The entrance door is located at the left of the right bay, with the byre originally situated to the right and the dwelling to the left. The building is constructed of rubble, and the east gable has been reconstructed to accommodate a later chimney stack.
Inside, there is a chimney on the left and a later chimney added in the former byre, which originally featured a hanging urn. The central bay includes a closet separated by a partition made from a mix of clay and straw. The entrance lobby has a cobbled floor, while the other areas have clay floors. The roof is made of corrugated iron over turf, replacing what was once a thatched roof.
