Description
Invercharron Farm is a mid-to-late 19th century farmhouse, although it may incorporate fabric from an earlier building, and has undergone considerable remodelling, including the roof and chimney stacks, together with various additions. The exterior is harled with painted margins, and the windows are principally four-pane, sash and case. The roof is slate-covered, with coped stacks.
Facing south, the main block is two storeys high with three bays. The central entrance is masked by a timber-framed porch with bargeboarding. There are three gablet dormerheads, which may originally have had bargeboards. A flat-roofed rear extension is present.
A north-south range adjoins the east gable of the south block, projecting slightly south and more to the north. A single-storey projection extends from the south gable, alongside a piend-roofed washhouse. Two lower ranges extend to the north, stepping down the ground. Some first-floor window heads break the eaves, featuring shallow segment heads. The statutory address is Invercharron Farm House.
