Description
Dated 1839, Crackaig is a long, single-storey and lofted, 19-bay farmsteading range forming a square. The building is constructed of harl-pointed rubble with tooled dressings. A slightly advanced and gabled central bay features a segmental-headed archway leading to a square, with pigeon loft ventilation holes above. The apex is adorned with a finial displaying the Sutherland/Stafford arms. Various entrances and windows are present on the left (south) side of the entrance, relating to the stable and byre, while all doors and vents have been blocked on the right range. A ridge stack is visible, and the roof is covered in slate. The rear buildings are now considerably dilapidated.
