Stables, Castlegreen Manse, Princes Street, Thurso

Castlegreen Manse is an early 19th-century house located on Princes Street in Thurso. This tall, two-storey building with an attic features a three-bay design. The exterior is constructed of rubble with tooled ashlar dressings, while the rear is harled. The symmetrical front has a central door that is concealed by a later 19th-century square projecting porch, which includes a side entrance and a crenellated wallhead. Above the porch, there is a central gable with a small attic window and an apex stack. Flanking the gable are later piended dormers, and the windows have 2-pane glazing. The house has panelled end stacks and a slate roof.

At the rear, there is a later 19th-century single-storey and attic, two-bay addition. Additionally, there is a stable and gighouse, which is a single-storey, irregular six-bay range also made of rubble, topped with a ridge Caithness slate roof.
