Description
The site comprises a late 18th and early 19th century walled garden and a gardener’s cottage, situated near Belladrum. The walled garden is large and irregularly shaped, enclosed by high, coped rubble walls. An arched entrance is located in the north wall, featuring a rounded-headed archway beneath a pedimented overthrow decorated with three ball finials, and paired decorative cast iron gates. A lean-to glasshouse was added in the later 19th century along the south-facing wall, alongside a gardener's lean-to bothy at the north end. The early 19th century gardener’s cottage is a single-storey, symmetrical three-bay dwelling facing east, with a rear wing. The cottage is constructed of coursed rubble with tooled rubble dressings. It has varied glazing, some later fenestration, a central ridge stack with coped detailing, and a piended slate roof with projecting eaves. The gardener's cottage is now used as a holiday home.
