Description
Thor House is an early 19th century, two-storey, symmetrical three-bay house, located prominently at Watten Crossroads. It features mid 19th century additions, including a single-storey, five-bay wing at the rear. The exterior is rendered and lined to resemble ashlar, with contrasting painted margins. The central door and the flanking windows are adorned with mid 19th century decorative lintels that have incised detailing.
The house has non-traditional doors and windows, which were formerly timber-framed sash and case with lying-pane glazing. The end stacks have been renewed. The main house has a slate roof, while the rear wing is covered with artificial slates.
The interior of the house has been largely refurbished.
