Description
Inverarish Mill, located on Raasay, is likely from 1720 and features a water wheel that was added in the 19th century along with some modifications. The mill includes a re-used 18th century marriage lintel above the window on the south gable, where the wheel is situated. The building is constructed from coursed rubble with an ashlar finish on the wheel gable. It also has a skeleton of a four-spoke wooden and iron high-breast or backshot wheel, topped with a corrugated iron roof.
