Description
Loch Lann, formerly part of Culloden House, is an 18th-century cottage ornée with early 19th-century additions and alterations. The building’s design takes inspiration from picturesque, romantic styles, and is arranged as a Y-shaped floor plan. The core of the structure is a two-story, 18th-century circular dovecote, with three single-story wings added later. Various modern additions now extend the building.
The exterior is finished with modern harl, accented by painted, tooled ashlar margins. A central doorway has been created in a later extension to the east side, with a blocked first-floor window positioned above it in the dovecote tower. The windows are fitted with multi-pane glazing, and the roofs are slate, with a conical roof over the central tower.
Additional wings are said to have been added in 1802. A range of 19th-century disused kennels are located to the rear of the property, but are not included as part of this listing.
