Description

The Market Cross at Milton dates to 1799. It comprises a tall, octagonal shaft topped with a ball finial, and it stands upon a three-stepped, square stone plinth. The cross has been repaired with iron braces. Worn figures are present. Further details are recorded in J W Small’s Scottish Market Crosses of 1899, plate 117.
