Description
1-9 St Vincent Place in Glasgow is a simple classical, four-storey commercial building dating from around 1835. The structure features modern shops on the tall ground floor and is constructed from cream sandstone ashlar. Notable architectural details include a moulded cornice above the ground floor, a cill course at the first floor, an eaves cornice, and a balustrade with panelled dies. The parapet at the corners supports wallhead stacks. The windows are architraved, with cornices at the first floor. The building has 14 bays facing St Vincent Place and 4 bays facing Queen Street, with the outer left windows on the second and third floors facing St Vincent Place being blind.
