Warehouse, 100-132 Albert Drive, Glasgow

This building, located at 100-132 Albert Drive in Glasgow, was constructed around 1895 and originally served as the Glasgow Laundry and Carpet Beating Works. It occupies a corner site, with the street elevations designed in a similar style. The exterior is finished in polished red ashlar and features a two-storey square corner range topped with a large pyramidal roof, which has an iron crest near the top and a finial, along with louvred dormers. The ground floor has a chamfered corner that contains the main entrance, while above it is an oriel window that is canted and transomed, extending above the eaves and topped with a facetted roof. The adjoining lower ranges have bays that are divided by pilaster strips and include lunettes, long axial ventilators, rooflights, and stacks, all under slate roofs.
