Description

Built circa 1895 as Glasgow Laundry and Carpet Beating

Works. On corner site, street elevations treated

similarly; polished red ashlar; 2-storey square corner

range with big pyramidal roof, iron-crested near top and

finialed, and with louvred dormers; chamfered street

corner angle at ground contains main door, oriel above

canted and transomed reaching above eaves and with

facetted roof; lower ranges adjoining have bays divided

by pilaster strips and with lunettes, long axial

ventilators, rooflights; stacks; slate roofs.
