Description
The statue of the Duke of Wellington, located on Queen Street in Glasgow, was created by Baron Marochetti in 1844. It features a bronze equestrian figure of the Duke mounted on a rectangular grey stone base and pedestal. The pedestal is adorned with bronze ribbon and waterleaf bands both above and below, as well as bronze military bas-reliefs on the sides.
