Description

The Statue of the Duke of Wellington, located on the north side of Cornhill, was created in 1844 by the sculptor Sir Francis Chantrey. This bronze equestrian statue stands on a base made of grey granite. Surrounding the statue is a curved cast iron railing that encloses roof lights for the public lavatories situated below.
