Description

The Hall and Vestry at Carntyne Old Church, located at 862 Shettleston Road in Glasgow, was designed by Robert Bryden of Clark and Bell and built between 1892 and 1893 as the Shettleston Cartyne Free Church. This Gothic-style building features stone-cleaned cream-coloured sandstone that is snecked and bull-faced, with slate roofs. It is situated on a corner site, showcasing a main gabled entrance front. Above the entrance, there are a pair of tall, traceried windows set between octagonal buttresses that rise upwards and are topped with pinnacles. The building also has a two-storey flank elevation, with upper windows featuring gabled dormer heads.
