Description
The Marie Stuart Hotel is a pair of similar villas from the late 19th century, connected by a modern extension that is set forward and serves as the main entrance to the hotel. Each villa has two storeys and three bays, featuring basket-arched openings on the ground floor, which include outer bipartite windows. The buildings are constructed of painted ashlar with contrasting details and have rusticated quoins. Most of the original sash windows remain intact. The roofs are slate, with the eastern block having a piend roof and the other block featuring a gabled roof. There are basements at the rear of the villas.
