Description
This police call box, designed by Gilbert MacKenzie Trench in 1928 and built around 1935, is made of reinforced concrete and has a square plan. It features panelled sides with two-leaf doors and a block frieze that includes a tablet for a 'POLICE' sign. The roof steps inward and has a circular, dome-capped metal finial at the center, which serves as a lamp and ventilator. Each face of the box has upper panels with six-pane glazing. The interior was not seen in 1995.
