Description
This is a four-storey "Thomsonesque" corner tenement built in the mid-1860s, featuring a later art nouveau addition known as the "Victoria Bar" from 1903 at the ground level. The bar showcases carved timber and acid-etched windows, while the upper floors are finished with polished ashlar stone that has been cleaned. The first floor has pilastered window jambs and mullions, and there is a moulding at the second floor that steps over the windows. Most of the original plate glass sash windows have been replaced with uPVC windows in 2023. The stacks have been rebuilt, and the roof is now covered with modern tiles. The interior of the bar has also been modernised.
