Description
68-74 Glassford Street in Glasgow is a four-storey, five-bay building dating from around 1800, originally used for both domestic and commercial purposes. The exterior features painted render, with a modern ground floor that retains some elements of a late 19th century shop front, including pilasters and a fascia. The first and second floor windows are adorned with architraves, and there are cornices above the second floor. A simple frieze and cornice are present above the second floor, along with a cornice and low parapet above the third floor. The building has a mansard slate roof with mutual gable end stacks, and the sash and case windows are fitted with plate-glass glazing.
