Hall, Shettleston Old Parish Church, Killin Street, Glasgow

Shettleston Old Parish Church, located on Killin Street in Glasgow, was designed by W F MacGibbon and built between 1895 and 1903 as a Free Church, with a detached hall nearby on a spacious site. The church is in the Gothic style, constructed from rock-faced red ashlar with slate roofs. It features a nave-and-aisles gabled front facing the street, which is a variation of the front seen at Dunblane Cathedral, similar to designs by John A Campbell at Shawlands Old Parish Church from 1885 to 1889. The church has a shallow belfry at the street-front end of the north side and roundels at the clearstorey. There are four leaded windows created by the Websters, a chancel window by Alfred from around 1950, and additional windows by Gordon from 1962, 1967, and 1972.

The hall, located to the south of the church and parallel to it, also features a heavily buttressed gable facing the street. It has a roughly L-shaped plan and includes an octagonal entrance turret at the angle, topped with a facetted roof and a ship weathervane finial. The property is enclosed by an iron-railed and stepped boundary along the street.
