Janitor's Lodge, Drumoyne Primary School, 200 Shieldhall Road, Glasgow

Drumoyne Primary School, built between 1929 and 1931 by the Master of Works Department of the Education Authority of Glasgow, is a large, symmetrical school designed in a U-shape around a playground. The building has two storeys, with a prominent central range that features a three-bay centrepiece made of ashlar stone. This centrepiece includes Edwardian baroque-style channelled end pavilions. The rest of the structure is framed construction, using red brick and glazed panels set between white-rendered full-height pilasters. The corridors are positioned forward from the piend-roofed classroom ranges, with a clearstorey above the former. A continuous entablature runs along the building, topped with slate roofs.

To the southeast, there is a harled janitor's lodge, which is presumably part of the original design but is more plain in appearance. The school is set behind a low wall with iron railings and has panelled square gatepiers.
