Description
The Ornamental Bridges at the Fish Pond, part of the House of Falkland, were built in 1897. They consist of a pair of small, semi-circular-arched bridges featuring concave, open balustrades and circular terminal piers topped with conical caps. These bridges serve as the inlet and outlet to the fishpond and are located near East Lodge. The arches, spandrels, and walls are constructed from random rubble, while the parapets are made of stone ashlar. The parapets are adorned with decorative urn balusters and square-plan piers. The eastern bridge has a single parapet, and there is a semi-circular rubble cascade to the east.
