Description
The dam, cascade, and bridge to the fish pond at Charlecote Park were originally constructed in the 16th century and redesigned in the 19th century. The structure is made of brick and ashlar. The ashlar bridge features low parapets over a segmental arch. Stone retaining walls, approximately 11 meters long, connect the bridge to the cascade. The cascade itself is made of brick with stone side walls and brick returns. The fish pond was altered in the 19th century when carp were replaced by trout. This property is owned by the National Trust.
