Description

Holly Cottage, located in Kirkton of Balmerino, dates from the late 18th to early 19th century. It consists of two cottages; the western part was formerly a school and features a single-storey structure with two windows and a central door, constructed from rubble with painted margins and a later crenellation above the door. It has a slated piend roof and angle chimneys. The eastern part is a weaver's house, also single-storey, with four windows and two doors, covered with pantiles. The overall appearance is picturesque.
