Description

Bridgend House in Balmerino is an 18th century short two-storey house that includes two cottages, one of which has been incorporated into Bridgend House. The eastern cottage features stugged dressings and is covered with pantiles. The main structure has three windows, although it originally had three, and a two-window and centre door arrangement that is picturesquely stepped to follow the slope. The house has octagonal chimney shafts at the gables. The building is constructed from ochre-washed rubble, with 'Commalon' retaining its pantiles, while 'Bridgend House' has modern tiles.
