Description
Early-earlier 19th century with alterations. 2-storey and attic; 5-bay; terraced tenement block with late 20th century shopfront to ground floor and vennel to W. Coursed droved painted sandstone with ashlar dressings to principal (S) elevation. Eaves band with moulded cornice to principal elevation; architraved windows to 1st floor; polygonal piended dormers to attic.
S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: basket-arched keyblocked vennel entrance to outer left. Continuously-glazed aluminium-framed shopfront occupies ground floor to right; recessed entrance with glazed door to outer right. 5 windows (grouped 1-2-2) to 1st floor. 3 dormers to attic.
2-pane timber sash and case windows to upper floors (upper pane subdivided to dormers) to principal (S) elevation; full-height continuously-glazed, aluminium-framed shop window to ground floor. Grey slate roof. Rendered corniced ridge stack at W end; round cans.
