Description
South Lodge at Kilmaron House is likely from the mid 19th century and features a single storey and attic in a T-plan layout. The building is constructed of stugged ashlar with polished dressings and chamfered reveals.
On the east elevation, there are three unequal bays. To the left, there is a Gothick panelled door set behind a basket-arched open porch with a parapet. The central gabled bay has a canted window with a parapet below a round-headed slit attic opening, while the right bay is a narrow blind section. The south gable has a bipartite window and both the east and south gables have crow-stepped features with grouped central coped stacks and a slate roof. The lodge is enclosed by curved stugged ashlar walls that include corniced square gatepiers.
