Description

The Golf Hotel, located on Bank Street in Elie, was built around 1891 as a mansion for Professor Greenfield. This baronial-style building features three storeys with dormer windows on the second floor, and a four-storey entrance tower on the east side that includes an angle turret. There is also a two-storey back wing. The exterior is made of snecked rubble and is roofed with slate, which has tiled ridges. The building is adorned with crowstepped gables.
