Description

The Savings Bank and Co-Operative Building, located on High Street in Falkland, was constructed in 1886. This baronial style building features two storeys, an attic, and a basement. It has a distinctive two-gable front with crowstepped design facing Cross, a circular stair tower on the north side, and a corbelled angle turret at the southeast corner. Notably, the south basement window has a lintel dated 17GKMN50, and a 17th century moulded doorpiece is incorporated on the north side.
