Description

A pair of late 18th or early 19th century 2-storey traditional houses with later alterations. No.8 has three bays with a central doorway and non-traditional windows. No.10, to the north is four bays wide with an arched pend to the left and a former shop door and window to its right extending into a small single storey single bay section attached to its north gable. Built in random whinstone rubble with rough squared sandstone quoins and window margins. The roof is slated with wide stone ridge and gable stacks. There is a 20th century single storey addition to the rear of No.10.

There is a single-storey, slanted rectangular-plan rubble built former smiddy to the rear garden of No.10 which has irregular openings to its east elevation including two doors, one with a window over. It has a mono pitch roof covered in corrugated sheet material.
