10 Kilnheugh, Auchtermuchty

12 Kilnheugh in Auchtermuchty consists of a pair of traditional houses from the late 18th or early 19th century, both of which have undergone later alterations. No. 8 features three bays with a central doorway and non-traditional windows. No. 10, located to the north, is four bays wide and includes an arched pend on the left side, along with a former shop door and window to the right, which leads into a small single-storey section attached to its north gable. The houses are constructed from random whinstone rubble, with rough squared sandstone quoins and window margins. The roof is slated, featuring wide stone ridge and gable stacks. Additionally, there is a 20th-century single-storey addition at the rear of No. 10.

In the rear garden of No. 10, there is a single-storey, slanted rectangular-plan rubble-built former smiddy. This structure has irregular openings on its east elevation, including two doors, one of which has a window above it. The roof is a mono pitch covered in corrugated sheet material.
