Description

David Forbes Smith, 1901. 2-storey, 3-bay, twin gabled former coach house. Coursed rubble with stugged ashlar dressings. Tudor-headed cart arch, corbelled stacks and stone mullions.

N (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: centre gable with arch and timber door to right, further timber door to left, 2 windows above and gablehead stack; window to 1st floor of link with gable to right, door to right and bipartite window to left, 2 windows at 1st floor and gablehead stack. Piended bay to outer left with wide opening at ground.

S ELEVATION: asymmetrical fenestration; elements include cart arch and canted oriel window to 1st floor right.

Small-pane over plate glass lower glazing patterns in timber sash and case windows. Grey slates. Coped ashlar stacks with cans, ashlar-coped stepped skews with moulded skewputts.
