Description

Circa 1860 (?). Fine complex of farm buildings with an

ornamental ashlar front towards Melville House. Central round

arched entry to courtyard in advanced gabled bay, clock tower

and weathervane over, 2 light upper window with dripmould.

Main 2 storey 3 window sides, slate roofs emphasised eaves,

dummy sashes to ground floor; advanced gabled end bays, upper

sashes with dripmoulds, original segmental arched doors to

north end only. North range contains domestic accommodation,

whinstone rubble with freestone dressings. Segmental arched

openings in courtyard at north end of east range.
