90 Market Street, St Andrews

90 Market Street in St Andrews is a late 19th-century, three-storey baronial corner tenement and shop. It is constructed from squared and snecked stugged cream sandstone ashlar and features deep fascias to the shopfronts with a cornice above, a dividing band course, and crowstepped gables.

On the east elevation, there is a doorway in the chamfered angle to the outer right, which has a modern glazed door. Above this, carved corbels support a circular tower. The first and second floors have three-light windows, and the building is topped with a conical roof that has fishscale banding and an iron finial. To the left, there is a timber and glass shopfront in a bay, with a doorway to the outer left that has a panelled door and a fanlight, along with bipartite windows on the first and second floors.

The north elevation also features a timber and glass shopfront with a projecting timber sign, and single windows on both floors above, which are two-pane timber sash and case windows. The roof is covered with grey slate and has corniced gablehead stacks, along with original cast-iron rainwater goods.
