Description
The building is a library located in Church Square, St Andrews. It was originally constructed as an English school in 1811 and was converted into a City Hall in 1845. The architect for the conversion was George Rae, and the building was reconstructed in 1927. It is a two-storey structure with five windows, featuring an ashlar exterior and a rusticated ground floor. The roof is piended and covered with slate. There is also a later wing that includes ground floor lavatories.
