Description

Stirton Railway Bridge, built in 1909, is an elliptical-arched railway bridge that is offset over a road. It features a brick arch ring that supports mass concrete spandrels. The bridge is constructed with five courses of brick, which have angled details at the arch springings. It also includes pre-cast concrete skewbacks, mass concrete spandrels, and wing walls, topped with a coped concrete parapet wall.
