Alexander Russell, Kirkcaldy, 1824. Shouldered and slightly bowed cast-iron milestone set into ground and attached to stone wall at rear, adjacent to former ferry terminal building. Approximately 3' high, 2' in breadth, 4" deep. Dated and inscribed 'Alexr Russell Kirkcaldy Foundry 1824' at the top; inscribed in flowing script on S face 'To Pettycur 33, New Inn 20, Cupar 11, Newport 0'. Painted white with raised black lettering and margins
