Description

High Road Lodge, also known as Tayfield House, was likely built shortly after 1828. It is a single-storey structure made of whinstone with sandstone dressings. The building features an octagonal corner bay and round-arched windows with two lights, which are fitted with diamond-paned glass. Additionally, there are obelisk gatepiers at the entrance.
