Description
The Guideplates at St Michael’s are two bow-fronted, segment-headed sign plates, dating from the time of Alex Russell (?). They are painted white and black and feature Egyptian-style slab serifs in relief, alongside hand pointers. One plate reads "TO NEWPORT AND DUNDEE FERRY" and the other reads "TO CUPAR AND ST ANDREWS". These plates are part of the Pettycur and Newport Passage road series. They are situated at the junction of the A92 and Wormit Road, approximately 700 yards north of St Michael’s.
