Description
Cairnfield Farm is a traditional U-shaped block, dating from the early 19th century, featuring single-storey construction with rubble walls and freestone dressings. The building has skew gables and pantiled roofs, with the northern block being higher and having hipped ends. There is an original arched entry at the end of the west range, although this has been replaced by later doors to the east range. The farm also includes a modern steading in the centre.
